Yes, I Think I Could Live Here If I Really Had To

The other week I posted some pictures of our Dream Home in France. Here’s another French house from 25 Beautiful Homes magazine that I could probably stand to live in, if so compelled to do:

How lovely are the blue shutters? So classic. Let’s move onto the interior:

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve got a bit of a thing for chandeliers, and this one’s a beauty.

I love this wardrobe – and oh, to lie in bed in the morning with that sunlit view streaming in through the door:

Crisp white linen:

Yes, I could live in this house :-)

Could you?

oh YES! And, would be nice to have those mild winters... more to dream about!

I hear you! My husband Andre grew up in South Africa, so he struggles with our hideous gloomy English winters. All the more incentive to move down south......

The concept of a weathered dream house is so romantic. Nestled in the countryside for 100 years or more, you will know that you are part of a history bigger than you That is compelling enough to make me get off my bum and go find one of those this minute!

I hope one day to have freshly pressed linens as a policy, not an off-chance pleasure.

Yes, I also love the idea of living somewhere with so much history. Our current house is from the 1950s, which is sooooo young in comparison to the Victorian houses that most English people live in! Having said that, when we moved in and were given all the paperwork for the house, it was fascinating to see who had lived there previously (including a certain someone who clearly had a fondness for bright orange and bright blue paint...) - in fact, I think I might post about this soon! Thanks for the inspiration :-)
