I'm Loving It - Romantic, Contemporary, French-Style London Home
I’d like to end the week by giving you the opportunity to peep inside this gorgeous London home. All photos are taken from the Telegraph magazine.
I love the aesthetic in this house. The open, airy feel. The stunning blend between romantic, contemporary, and quirky styles. The house has a feminine, French feel – but at the same time, I think it’s unmistakably an English Victorian house.
Here’s the open plan living and dining area. Loving the contrast between the velvet sofa, the antique mirrors, and the modern dining table and chairs:

I love the over-sized glass baubles:

Here are the bathroom and kitchen – the sleek lines of the minimalist kitchen work beautifully with the vintage, ornate mirror:

How fabulous is this French armoire?

I like this house so much, I think it might be fun to create a room design based around it – I’m thinking Ikea and Heals plus Laura Ashley would do the trick. Yes, I’m going to add this to my ever-growing list of future posts.
Have a wonderful weekend!

what a stunning place! adore everything, especially the entryway and beautiful fireplace
I'm not going to have my home without a clawfoot tub. I grew up with one and find them absolutely charming. I'm big into architectural salvage (and my hubby is becoming so) and there's nothing more rewarding (design wise) than re-purposing a bit of history for a new need!
Hi {this is glamorous} thanks for much for commenting! Yes, I love the entryway - I particularly like houses where you can see all the way through into the rooms beyond from the hall, and everything blends together seamlessly.
Miss Lydia! I would have adored to have a clawfoot bath in our bathroom - sadly there was not a chance of fitting one into the Smallest Bathroom In The World, so it will have to wait for a future casa. In fact I've always fancied having one in my bedroom - how decadent would that be? Sigh...
Yes, it is lovely how they have kept the old plank flooring and combined it with a modern design not loosing the feel of the old house. I am a builder from London, and way too often are we asked to modernize where they should keep the old feature. Such a pity.
