A Year In The Secret Garden - December
It's the beginning of December, which means it's time to share the latest photo of our secret garden:
For the past couple of months, I've been taking a photo of the garden on the 1st day of the month, in order to build up a picture of how the garden changes through the seasons:
Here's November's photo as a comparison:
Brrr, it looks a lot colder in the garden right now! The hawthorn, apple and forsythia trees have all lost the leaves - revealing the wooden pergola and little patio at the back of the garden. But there's still a ton of greenery, thanks to the evergreen eucalyptus, olive trees, bamboos, cordylines and clematis.
You can see a photo gallery of our garden through the seasons here.
Back tomorrow with an Etsy Christmas card round-up! Or possibly some more Nest DIY pictures. Or some pictures of the dogs. Or maybe a sneak peek into a lovely Paris home. Ooh, too much to blog about!
Please note - if you would like to leave a comment :-) and would like to include your URL, please include http:// at the start of your URL, or it won't load properly. Sorry for the faff! Alice x

Beautiful garden and what a good idea to capture it through the season. Just having a picture around may suggest new ideas for sculpting your yard into even more of an oasis.
You bet it looks cold now. Guess you'll need to head to Miami like moi;-)
Yes, definitely - for example, taking photos helps to remind me that the back corner of the garden looks a little bare in spring, and would therefore benefit from some extra bulbs being planted in autumn.
Miami eh, how nice! Off to check your blog now to catch up on the latest news from the world of CC :-)
