I Have A Confession
I think it's time to 'fess up. About something that I've been keeping very, very secret. Here goes.
Andre and I like to keep our casa nice and tidy. As in, our house is basically tidy all the time.

We don't like clutter.

Everything in our house has a place.

Well, except of course for all the random ugly stuff that doesn't have a place, and just gets rammed any-old-how into the cupboard under the stairs:

Phew. I feel better now. It's good to let it all out every now and then.
Do you have a Cupboard Of Hideousness lurking in your house?

HahaHAAAAAAAAAA! Oh yes, we do. Our place is nice and tidy (ish) most of the time. But our storage cupboard is a SHOCKER. It's actually probably a death trap. The door doesn't even close on it properly at the moment. We were going to do a car boot sale last year but it didn't quite happen, then the weather changed...
OMG yes. its our butlers pantry right off the dining room next to the stairs. Makes our house sound bigger than it is, but what a hodge podge mess it is. Doesn't help we had to empty out my parents house, my grandma's house, and a great aunts house in one year. I'm drowning in too much stuff. Trying to keep it out of sight while sorting it out and trying to get rid of 90%. Yikes... you're not alone.
We have an untidy set of drawers - all the junk goes in there!
My husband: no, each and every part of his "part" of the house is meticulous and organized. too much.
Me: yes, I like it neat, no clutter at all kind of thing. But my studio: well, there is just so much STUFF that one accumulates. I do tend to stash it in the flat file drawers, or of course, there are the endless stacks of magazines with the stickies all coming out the sides. Maybe I best not go on about this!
Phew, good to hear I'm not alone :-)
I had a really good spring-clean this weekend and threw out bags and bags of rubbish that I had apparently deemed necessary up to that point to carefully store in the house. Oh the shame...
And the magazines! I found a cupboard full of them. Dating back YEARS. So I've started going through them all, cutting out the pages I want to keep, and transferring them to a separate file.
