Welcome!

Thanks for visting Simply The Nest. I'm an English girl married to an Portuguese boy, and when I'm not taking care of our adorable toddler girl, I blog about our house renovation, DIY projects, delicious recipes, design, inspirational interiors, and family life in a Victorian Manchester nest. Oh, and Jack Russells (we have two). And our masterplan to move to France. Très bien.

How About A Little French View?

How would you like to spend some time in this rather fabulous converted Provençal cottage?

Yes, me too.

Which is why I booked it for one of the two weeks that Andre and I will be spending in the Luberon this summer:

Please ignore the grainy pictures, and check out this modern conversion:

All images from Book Cottages.

It's situated in one of the famous Luberon hilltop villages that Andre and I visited last summer, so we know that this will be the view from those floor-to-ceiling windows:

And best of all? They accept les chiens! So Miss Penelope and Mr Enrique will be accompanying us, passports in paw.

Très bien.

Do you have holiday plans for this summer yet?

Oooh looks wonderful! What a great place to spend a week! :)

No summer vacation plans for us... just ongoing renos... with the odd weekend away, I believe!

Am I jealous??? I've never heard of Book Cottages, but it looks great: will research later. Lucky lucky you (and, of course, the doggies...)

Hola! I have used various companies in the past - Book Cottages, Cottages 4 You, and French Country Cottages. They all seem to be the same company trading under different names, and have a great selection. Not sure if you can book from via these three from the US, but Owners Direct are international and very good also.
